UnityAI, which offers agentic AI agents aimed at helping the healthcare workforce, announced the close of an $8.5 million Series A funding round, bringing its total raise to $15 million.
Third Prime led the round with participation from Whistler Capital Partners, Nashville Capital Network, Company Ventures, Max Ventures and other existing investors.
WHAT IT DOES
Nashville-based UnityAI offers an agentic AI workforce for healthcare. The company says its AI can help healthcare teams with numerous tasks, including patient scheduling and reminders, intake and data collection, patient outreach and retention, insurance verification and eligibility, and inbound calls and financial clearance.
The company will use the funds to scale its go-to-market operations and enhance its AI technology.
"UnityAI keeps work moving in environments that are unpredictable, high-volume, and constantly changing," Wes Barton, general partner at Third Prime, said in a statement. "The team has shown they can deploy systems that operate reliably in real-world conditions and deliver measurable results for providers, which is why we’re excited to lead this round."
MARKET SNAPSHOT
In October, the company announced a partnership with tech-enabled behavioral health company Peregrine Health, which works with underserved communities through Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
The partners deployed Emma, a virtual care navigator powered by UnityAI, via Peregrine to help with patient engagement.
In 2024, UnityAI secured $4 million in seed funding.
Other companies offering agentic AI agents for healthcare include Hyro, which last year raised $45 million in funding for its AI agent platform, and Assort Health, which closed a $76 million Series B funding round in October, bringing its total raise to $102 million.
