Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital pilots AI scribe

Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, part of the Catholic Medical Center network in South Korea, has begun piloting an AI-powered voice-based medical record system .

Developed with PuzzleAI, the clinical documentation tool, called CMC GenNote, allows clinicians to open forms by voice command and automatically generate structured EMR entries from live clinical conversations. It is supported by specialised microphones and a hospital-tuned language model for accuracy in noisy clinical settings.

The pilot, now running in selected outpatient departments, is planned to expand to operating rooms, the emergency department, and inpatient wards as part of the hospital's broader smart hospital transformation.

PuzzleAI's GenNote will also underpin a new smart hospital solution by Daewoong Pharmaceutical, announced in July.

South Korea links public clinic data to My Health Record

The South Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare has started linking the Regional Health and Medical Information System, which serves around 3,600 public health centres, with the national My Health Record mobile application.

Based on a media release, the integration enables patients to share selected treatment, diagnosis, medication and test data from private hospitals with public health centres, allowing staff to view the information through a time-limited viewer without storing it.

The rollout is expected to reduce repeat tests and improve service accuracy, following long-standing reliance on paper records or patient recall for screenings and health management at local clinics.

Sisram launches AI skincare system in Hong Kong

Sisram Medical has recently launched its subsidiary's AI-assisted skincare system in Hong Kong.

Universkin by Alma, developed by Alma Lasers, captures and analyses facial images with AI, and prepares customised formulations on-site that can be adjusted over time based on patient response.

The Hong Kong rollout follows Universkin's earlier debut in North America and forms part of Sisram's broader Asia-Pacific expansion strategy for personalised, AI-driven aesthetic skin care.
