The digital mental health unicorn confirmed it received a grand jury subpoena from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York on the evening of May 4.

The suspension comes as the digital mental health company faces increasing pressure over its prescription practices, particularly for ADHD medications.

Former vice president Matthew Truebe said he was fired after raising concerns about the company's prescribing practices, alleging Cerebral aimed to prescribe stimulants to all its ADHD patients to increase retention.

The startup scooped up $14 million in Series A funding in January 2021.

With the partnership, doulas will be able to refer their Medicaid patients to Brave for mental health services like therapy, psychiatry and medication management.

Iris works with providers like health systems and community health centers to offer telepsychiatry services and triage their patients to the right level of care.

The program launched in Florida in early March and will expand to other states in coming months.

That amounts to a 139% increase from 2020, according to CBInsights' State of Mental Health Tech 2021 Report.
